As parents who care about discipling our children in God’s Word, one of the most exciting reasons homeschool co-ops are wonderful is they give us the ability to take a group of kids through Scripture!
Homeschool Co-op Bible Class
You can take the children in your homeschool co-op through the Bible in just three years. Or, take them through the New Testament in one year.
Imagine the impact your teaching will have on a group of children or teens as you lead them straight to God’s Word, the ultimate source of wisdom, and the revelation of God’s plan for salvation for us.
Bible Road Trip™ is a three-year Bible survey curriculum for preschool to high school. There are two ways you can use the curriculum to teach your homeschool co-op Bible class.

Two Ways to Use Bible Road Trip™ in Your Co-op for Bible
I love the many different ways that homeschool co-op teachers have adapted Bible Road Trip™ to be used in a classroom setting! Every co-op is different. That said, most co-op parent-teachers use the Bible Road Trip™ curriculum in one of two ways.
Option 1: Each family works through Bible Road Trip™ daily. Students discuss what they’ve learned and do the projects in class.
For this option, each one of your families will want to purchase a copy of Bible Road Trip™ curriculum for their family, and a notebooking journal for each student in the class.
With this first option, families will use Bible Road Trip™ during their family discipleship time at home five days each week. Each family will read the assigned daily Bible chapters together and discuss the chapters using the provided discussion questions. Students will also work on the assigned weekly memory verses at home.
How you use class time is widely variable. Students can use their notebooking journals daily at home, or you can have them bring the journals and work on them during class time. You can also use class time to work on the weekly craft, teach from the Researching the Word section, or work through praying for the nations. You could also have student recite their verses for awards.
Option 2: Teach from the Bible Road Trip™ curriculum in class. Each student works in their own printed journal.
For this option, each classroom teacher will need the appropriate level of the Bible Road Trip™ curriculum, and a notebooking journal for each student in the class.
Another way parent-teachers use Bible Road Trip™ in their co-op is to teach directly from it during class, reading the Bible chapters aloud and having each student work on their notebooking journal in class. If your homeschool co-op meets just once each week, this method may take a bit longer to go through the Bible. Alternatively, you can remove some of the chapters each week so you can move through the curriculum on pace. If your co-op meets several time a week, you will not need to adjust much to get through all of the reading each week.
This option works well if you have a larger co-op, or if you are not certain your students will do the weekly work with their families. Families can do the memorization, researching the Word, praying for the nations, and craft activities at home during the week.
Bible Road Trip™ is a wonderful option for your homeschool co-op. Your students will learn lessons from God’s Word that they’ll never forget!
