Who is Danika Cooley? Danika equips moms, homeschoolers, and kidmin teachers to teach the Bible and Christian history to kids!
Friend, I’m so excited to have you join me here at Thinking Kids. My name is Danika Cooley.
Here, you’ll find great resources to equip you to teach the Bible and Christian history to your kids. It’s my goal to encourage you in the task of intentionally raising children for the glory of the Lord.
I hold a degree in Interdisciplinary Visual Art from the University of Washington, and my background includes working with children with severe disabilities and volunteer teaching. My children and I love visiting the zoo, the science museum, and the theater. Hiking, read-alouds, science experiments, and art projects are frequent activities in our home.
As a follower of Christ, a writer, a mother of four, a grandmother to one, and a home educator, my heart is to create quality material which points children to Jesus. I hope to aid parents in their goal to disciple their children. I dream of a generation of parents training small people in the way they should go. I envision a tribe of children rising up to become men and women of God.
Our kids deserve the opportunity to fill their minds with information of value. While you and I may not agree on everything, perhaps we can find it beneficial to see life from another viewpoint. Come on into my library, hang out a while, and share your thoughts on raising children of substance.

When Lightning Struck!: The Story of Martin Luther
Luther’s story is exciting. There are death defying moments, epic spiritual battles, narrow escapes, a kidnapping, revolution, and war. As the “Father of the Reformation”, Luther is a vital figure in Church history. His sacrifice and willingness to wage battle against the spiritual, religious, and political powers of his medieval world allowed Christians throughout time to embrace the truth of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone as explained by Scripture alone once again. May all glory be to God alone!
