Teach kids: Who is God According to the Bible and Who is Jesus with two family devotions your family will love!

When my kids were growing up, we read through the Bible four times using Bible Road Trip™. It was a wonderful way for our children to learn the story of Scripture, to know the overarching themes of the Bible, and to learn more about God.
I also loved finding topical devotionals that helped our kids learn more about specific topics. Each morning, we read something that helped our kids know more about theology, sound doctrine, and Christian living.
Here are two family devotionals that will help your elementary-aged kids learn more about the attributes of God the Father and God the Son–our Lord and Savior, Jesus. You’ll love the short devotions, and your kids will love knowing important facts about the King of the Universe.

Who Is God According to the Bible
Kate Hox, an educator and mother, has written two wonderful volumes: Who is God?: 52 Pictures to Share with Your Family (New Growth Press, 2026) and Who is Jesus?: 40 Pictures to Share with Your Family (New Growth Press, 2022).
Each volume is illustrated in full-color by Kate’s husband, illustrator Joe Hox. The woodcut-style drawings are bold and exciting, something your children are sure to be drawn in by.
Kate Hox could have covered each attribute of God simply, just referring to the details of each Scripture story. Instead, she traces the attribute of God through Scripture. She also introduces the types of details that your precocious elementary-aged kids will love. There are facts about ancient biblical cultures, the Old Testament sacrificial system, biblical languages and terms, and history.
It is literally impossible for your family to go through Who is God? without growing in knowledge and wisdom. That is something to love!
The 52 attributes of God explored are fascinating, well thought out, and important. Your kids will learn about attributes of God, like:
2) God of Order
4) God of Rainbows
14) God Desires to Dwell with His People
18) God is a Mighty Warrior
21) God is Not a Magical Charm
38) God is the Ancient of Days
46) God Tore the Veil
50) God Does Not Need Us, But We Need Him
Who is God? is a wonderful volume, full of important truths about our great God! I expect that Who is Jesus? is equally valuable for families. I plan to gift both volumes to my kids to use with my grandchildren!
