A Children’s Book about God’s Love
Catherine MacKenzie, the Children’s Editor for CF4Kids from Christian Focus Publications (and, full disclosure, my editor for a number of my books) and author of many middle grade Christian biographies and children’s picture books, has written a lovely hardcover picture book on God’s love.
The illustrations by Ola Krzanowska are beautiful and upbeat with lots of fun details your kids will love looking at as you read the book together.
Each spread has a “Guess What! God loves you!,” followed by a Scriptural truth and the Bible verse reference for the truth about God’s love. Some biblical truths are spread out over several pages. I love that Catherine always ensures God’s good news is included in every children’s book she and her authors write. For instance, on the third spread of Guess What: God Loves You, she writes:
Guess what! God loves you!
Does God love you more than life? Absolutely.
God’s Son, Jesus, died to save sinful people from the wrong things we do.
Our sin does not please God, but it does not stop God from loving us.
While we were still sinners Jesus died for us.
If you love God it is because God loved you first.
He loves you most. He loves you best!
