Jesus’ Resurrection
In 1 Corinthians 15:14, Paul boldly states:
And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.
Jesus’ Resurrection is absolutely central to our faith. In fact, the Resurrection proved that:
- Jesus had conquered sin and death on the Cross.
- The sins of all who believe in Jesus and repent of their sins have been paid for by the blood of Jesus.
- Jesus is the firstfruits of a great harvest for the kingdom of God.
- Christians will also be raised from the dead to new, incorruptible bodies.
- One day, Jesus will return for his people.
- Then, we will live forever with him on the new earth, free from sin and death.
This fun unit study will help your children learn all about the Resurrection of Jesus, and why it matters to us today.
Jesus and the Resurrection Bible Unit Study
Our kids need to know and understand that the Resurrection is our proof that Jesus is, indeed, our Messiah. He is the firstfruits of a mighty harvest for the Kingdom of God, and all who believe in him will follow him in resurrection to eternal life. One day, we will live forever with Jesus in the New Jerusalem, where the tree of life bears fruit and the leaves heal the nations.
Our kids also need to know that there were over 500 historical witnesses to the Risen Jesus in the 40 days following his Resurrection.
Your unit study on the Resurrection is based on the fun, 95-page biography, Why Did the Resurrection Happen?, which explains the significance of the Resurrection, the promise of eternity with Jesus for believers, and the witnesses to the Risen Christ.

Christian Biographies for Kids | Christian History for Kids | Theology for Kids

Christian History Matters for Our Kids.
History matters. Now, more than ever, we see how important it is for our children to know and understand history and the Bible.
Here’s why:
- God is the sovereign ruler of all things. It’s important for our kids to see his hand in the history of nations and in the lives of both peasants and kings.
- Christian history is the story of our family history. Our kids get to see how people who love Jesus follow him.
- Understanding history can help our kids learn historic and biblical theology. They learn what the Bible says and what that means for us. They also see when the study of Scripture has taken important turns that have changed the Church.
- Reading Christian biographies and history can be a wonderful way for kids to think outside their own time and culture. God’s Church spans centuries and includes people from every nation.
- Christian biographies help kids consider their own faith, walk with Jesus, and the impact their witness may one day have on others–and on history.
