God promises eternal life to Christians. Do your kids know what that means? Teach your kids the meaning of eternal life through Jesus.

Eternal life is a big topic for kids. To be honest, it’s a big concept for adults.
Eternal life through Jesus is at the heart of the gospel. When we believe in Jesus, confess him with our mouth, and repent of our sins, our sins are forgiven. Believers are not only forgiven, we are also promised eternal life with Jesus.
We can teach kids what that means and why we know it is true.
Eternal Life Through Jesus
Kids have questions about eternal life. They want to know:
- What does eternal mean?
- Where will we live?
- Is grandpa there already?
- Will grandma know me when we get there?
- What will I do when I live forever?
- What will my body look like?
- When will eternal life happen?
- What happens to someone who dies in the ocean, or in a fire? Do they have eternal life if they believe in Jesus?
- What happens to us if we die before Jesus returns?
- When Jesus returns, what will that be like?
- Why do Christians have funerals or memorial services?
- Why do I miss my Christian relative?
- Why do we have no reason to fear death?
Eternal life through Jesus does not have to be a mystery for our kids. Scripture answers our questions. With my book, Why Did the Resurrection Happen?, you can teach your kids what eternal life with Jesus means–and how we know Christians will receive it.
God Promises Eternal Life
God has promised us eternal life through the sacrificial, atoning death of Jesus. For all who believe in Jesus and repent, we are guaranteed that we will one day be a part of the harvest of the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 15:20-26, ESV, says:
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
We know our salvation in Christ is effectual because Jesus proved it by being raised from the dead. We can trust that just as Jesus rose from the dead, Christians will also rise from the dead. We will live forever with Jesus on the new earth.
Why Did the Resurrection Happen? tells the story of the Resurrection of Jesus. Your children will learn about the more than 500 witnesses to the Risen Christ. They will learn, too, what each part of 1 Corinthians 15:20-26 means.

Christian Biographies for Kids | Christian History for Kids | Theology for Kids
Christian History Matters for Our Kids.
History matters. Now, more than ever, we see how important it is for our children to know and understand history and the Bible.
Here’s why:
- God is the sovereign ruler of all things. It’s important for our kids to see his hand in the history of nations and in the lives of both peasants and kings.
- Christian history is the story of our family history. Our kids get to see how people who love Jesus follow him.
- Understanding history can help our kids learn historic and biblical theology. They learn what the Bible says and what that means for us. They also see when the study of Scripture has taken important turns that have changed the Church.
- Reading Christian biographies and history can be a wonderful way for kids to think outside their own time and culture. God’s Church spans centuries and includes people from every nation.
- Christian biographies help kids consider their own faith, walk with Jesus, and the impact their witness may one day have on others–and on history.
