Help your kids understand the Resurrection of Jesus story from the Bible with this hands-on Easter lapbook Bible study.

In 1 Corinthians 15:14, Paul tells us that if Jesus wasn’t raised from the dead, then our preaching and our faith is in vain. That would mean the gospel–the Good News of Jesus Christ–is not true. In verse 19, he goes on to say:

If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
It’s important, too, for our kids to slow down and really take a look at different stories in the Bible, so they really understand what Scripture is saying about a subject. That’s the reason for our lapbook series here at Thinking Kids.
The Resurrection of Jesus Story
The Resurrection of Jesus Story Lapbook will take your kids through the Resurrection story in the book of Matthew. They will also learn about Jesus, who is the Lamb of God. Your children will explore what the Resurrection means for them personally, and will learn how to be saved from their sins so they, too, will live eternally with Christ.

How to Print and Use the Resurrection of Jesus Story Lapbook
To create the base of your lapbook, place your file folder on a table and fold both sides inward toward the creased spine of the folder. Once the outer edges meet, crease your file folder. This will give you a book that opens in the middle. You will still have a fold in the middle of your book, so I like to glue a piece of cardstock into the middle section of the book to create a thick center that won’t bend.

What do you put on the inside of the accordion books?
Hi, Julie. Read the verses together, talk about how they relate to the theme, and then your child can write a few notes about what they learned. 🙂
