Here at Thinking Kids, there are literally hundreds of PDFs available for you to download. In fact, there are some 385 Bible Road Trip PDFs available for you to download. (Bible Road Trip is a three year Bible survey curriculum–with notebooking pages–for preschool to high school.) I also have lots of other subscriber gifts available for you, like a timeline journal, homeschool planning journals, a reading journal, Bible memory booklets, discussion guides, and even a unit study.
Even if you prefer to purchase Bible Road Trip in a convenient, full-year PDF format, you will likely want to download some of the other free PDFs I have available for you. I’ve written this tutorial to help you easily download your Thinking Kids PDFs.
How to Download Thinking Kids PDFs….
1) Log into Your Thinking Kids Subscriber Account
Here at Thinking Kids, all of the downloads are available for immediate download right from the site. If you purchase something from The Bible Road Trip Store, an encrypted link to that PDF will be immediately emailed to your PayPal email address. But all free subscriber PDFs can be directly downloaded right here on the site. In order to find the PDF links and download them, you’ll need to be logged into your subscriber account. Your subscriber account is free to you, just because I love you, and I love Jesus. An account gives you access to all the Bible Road Trip weekly PDFs, as well as all Thinking Kids subscriber gifts.
You’ll sign into your Thinking Kids subscriber account over to your left, on the sidebar, right under the “Member Login” title. If you don’t have an account yet, you can sign in under the blue login button where it says “Join Us” in small red print right under the “Forgot Password” link. When you first sign up, you’ll receive an email that will allow you to complete your registration by setting your password. Don’t forget to complete your registration, or you won’t be able to sign in!
Here’s what it looks like when you are logged in to your subscriber account. (Of course, your username will show.)
2) Visit the post with the PDF you’d like to download
You can find the Bible Road Trip downloads through the Bible Road Trip year indexes at The Bible Road Trip Everything Page. Just scroll down until you find them. From the indexes, you can go to each week’s curriculum or notebooking pages. You’ll find The Everything Page by going to the menus under the site header. Hover over Thinking Kids Press, then hover over Bible Road Trip, then left-click on The Everything Page. Alternately, you can type the URL http://BibleRoadTrip.org to go directly to The Everything Page.
To find other subscriber PDFs, visit “Subscriber Gifts” in the menu under the header, or click here. Then choose the gift you’d like to download and click on the link. That will take you to the page where you’ll find the appropriate PDF.
3) Find the PDF link at the very bottom of the post–and click
Here you can see the link for the 12-week Martin Luther Unit Study. This link is at the bottom of the When Lightning Struck! book page. Left-click the link to download your PDF.
Important Microsoft Edge Browser Issue
You may notice that when you go to download your PDF, you are confronted by this message:
The latest Microsoft operating system update to Microsoft 10 automatically installed Edge as the browser. The Edge browser does not support ActiveX plug-ins. This means that Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader don’t work with Edge. The Edge browser can’t “see” PDFs. If you’re using the Edge browser, you have a couple of options. Both will allow you to download Thinking Kids PDFs.
- In the Edge browser, you may right-click the PDF link, then click “Save As”. Save the PDF to your computer (remember where you filed it). You can then go to your computer (to the file you saved your PDF into) and open the PDF from there.
- Install another browser and download the PDFs from that browser. You can download Internet Explorer here.
This issue is not a Thinking Kids issue. This is a Microsoft issue. Thankfully, now that you know, you can work around it.
Well, friend, that is how you download Thinking Kids PDFs. Now that you know, you’ll want to warm up your printer.
