When I was a kid I made huge lists every January. I sectioned them out into 1, 5, and 10 year goals. I’m pretty sure my ten year goal when I was twelve said “Become an astronaut”. I also put “Read the entire Bible” on my 1 year list every year. Every. Year. I just forgot that reading the Bible in a year would require a daily commitment.
Fast forward twenty or *ahem* more years. I’ve learned four important facts about setting spiritual goals. I’m sharing those today on Kids in the Word. I’ve also created goal sheets that you can use with your children—one for setting goals and one for recording weekly success. You’ll just need to hop over to Kids in the Word. ….
May God bless your family’s journey as you all seek Jesus in 2015.
“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” ~ Psalm 9:10 (ESV)
